Multi-purpose vehicles are growing in popularity over seas and the interest and higher demand has peaked Hond to look into producing these types of cars. In Malaysia, Honda already offers a seven-passenger MPV called the Honda Freed which is based on the Honda Fit.
Currently known as the Honda "2NH" the Japanses automaker has started this as a prototype. It features the same body style and seating capacity as the Honda Freed, but borrows a bit more from the next-generation Honda Fit. Reports are telling us that the Honda "2NH" is going to feature the Honda Earth Dreams engine as well.
Earth Dreams engines are going to be available in both gas and deisel options and will be a part of a larger suite of automotive components developed by Honda.
The Honda "2NH" is expected to hit the Indian automotive market in the next two years, but under a different name.
