The first, and might we add highly-anticipated, Honda Fit EV has finally arrived stateside. Curry Honda has been patiently waiting for the new Honda Fit EV to hit U.S. markets since the concept car was released. The keys the first vehicle are in the hands of two, long-time Honda enthusiasts from Ventura County, CA - the Waltons.
When Honda first invited people to sign up to lease the Fit EV, and the Waltons (Matt and Becky) just so happened to be the first to submit their names. Having owned at least four other new Honda vehicles since the '70s, they couldn't wait to get their hands on the electric Fit.
For those who might not be overly familiar with the engineering behind the all-new Honda Fit EV, it offers the best efficiency rating of any other EV on the market. What's more; it offers the lowest consumption rating of any EV available: 29 kWh/100 miles.
Speaking on the Honda Fit EV, inaugural owner, Matt Walton says, "The Honda Fit EV is not only a sustainable and energy-efficient transportation option with the highest fuel-efficiency rating of any EV, but it has the added bonus of being fun-to-drive and can fully recharge from 'empty' to 'full' in less than three hours."1
